I was born and raised in Panama and moved to the US in the late ’80’s, during the “Noriega” Dictatorship. In my eyes, as a young child, I started my travel journeys in Miami, Florida. During these years, we would try to visit our family as much as possible, but sacrificing other travel goals instead, but never our travel dreams.

As soon as I was able to support myself, I knew I wanted to make travel an important priority in my life. I went on to become a financial planner for 20 years, teaching others how to plan for their retirement dreams.

Traveling takes a lot of time and effort when it comes to planning and accumulating enough money in order to make the aspirational travel dreams come true. I am grateful for the opportunities we have available by using credit cards to your advantage for free travel and hope to inspire others to try it and ask questions.

Growing up abroad, both in Panama and the United States, and having experienced other cultures, gave me the inspiration and wanderlust spirit to figure out HOW to travel often, using frequent flyer points and miles accumulated with credit cards. The goals can sometimes be to visit amazing places without spending much money by using points and miles.

Currently, I have earned and redeemed over 3 Million points that has allowed me to visit 39 countries, many flights in Business or First Class, all by using credit card points. I believe that travel hacking can be incorporated in our daily lives, if made a priority.

Coming from a long line of frugal world travelers, they inspired many of the places I visited and the stories we now share with our families today. We love to travel as a family, with our 3 children, and make memories along the way.
